Jonathan Liteplo works extensively in the energy and utilities areas, acting as counsel to participants in the electricity, oil and gas, water and wastewater industries in a broad range of matters before regulatory authorities and the courts. He represents clients in obtaining tariff approvals for utilities, and regulatory, environmental and land use planning approvals for large-scale electricity generating and transmission facilities, oil and gas production, processing and pipeline facilities, petrochemical projects and oil sands projects. He also represents energy clients and utilities in disputes involving other industry participants, and has worked on numerous projects requiring federal and provincial environmental assessments and wide-ranging public and First Nations consultation.

Jonathan's clients have included owners of regulated electricity, water and wastewater facilities, owners of power generating facilities, oil and gas producers and midstream operators, oil sands producers, pipeline owners and shippers of natural gas, crude oil and other products, buyers and owners under power purchase arrangements, regulated and unregulated retailers of electricity services, energy marketers and importers/exporters, mine operators, LNG facility owners and exporters, vendors and purchasers of major energy projects, and a petrochemical company.
