Jessica Catton Rinaldi is a partner in the Business Law Group in the firm's Toronto office. Jessica’s practice is focused on corporate and securities law with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. She has been involved in a variety of transactions including negotiated acquisitions, contested take-over transactions, and debt and equity financings. Jessica also has experience advising issuers in connection with Canadian securities law and exchange requirements.
Jessica holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and recently completed the Certified Legal Project Manager® program, which is the equivalent of a graduate level course consisting of educational and practical components in legal project management.
In 2012, Jessica was seconded to Kellogg Canada Inc. as Legal Counsel, Marketing and Advertising, where she negotiated and drafted a broad range of commercial agreements, including promotional and strategic partnership agreements and advised various business units on a variety of legal matters.
Outside of her practice Jessica is a director of Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, a not-for-profit organization that provides an enhanced level of support for current and potential high performance athletes and coaches in Ontario. Jessica was also the founding President and is a former director of Young Women in Law, a not-for-profit aimed at supporting young women in the legal profession and providing young female lawyers an opportunity to network and give back to their communities.
