Toronto (Canada) – Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that Craig Carter, a lawyer in the firm’s Toronto office, will receive the Ontario Bar Association’s (OBA) highest Award for “Distinguished Service” at a ceremony on April 26.
Craig is engaged in a commercial real estate practice including: commercial purchases and sales, easement issues, mortgage law, real estate insolvency, powers of sale and opinions on solicitor’s practice. He has acted as counsel in real estate issues and the standards of practice in real estate matters. He is extensively involved in continuing legal education for the legal profession, is a co-editor and published author, and has chaired many programs for the OBA.
OBA’s Award for Distinguished Service recognizes exceptional career contributions and/or career achievements by Members of the Ontario Bar Association:
- to the legal profession in Ontario;
- or to jurisprudence in Ontario or Canada;
- or to the law or development of the law in Ontario;
